Chance at Education is a foundation dedicated to enhancing the quality of education for both young boys and girls in developing countries. The foundation’s goal is in line with UN sustainable development goals # 4 on quality education which states that everybody should have access to quality education. Social Arc Films has partnered with Brenda and her organization, Chance at Education, in 2020 to create a documentary highlighting the lives of these young girls and the transformative impact of Venus Cups.
ZAM is an international multimedia platform celebrating African creativity and innovative thinking. In collaboration with ZAM, we have partnered with Jennifer Touch, a Dutch-American cultural heritage historian, entrepreneur, and the founder of Black Heritage Tours in Amsterdam, Brussels, and New York. Jennifer reflects on the influence of Mandela on her life and work today, expressing, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
Our food system has to change. FlipIt tells the stories of people who are ahead of the curve—change makers who are already making plant-based food the norm in their communities. We created this short documentary together with Askew Pictures.
In an impressive expedition called ‘Quest for Fort Boekoe,’ sociologist and expedition leader John Pel explores the enchanting Amazon area of Suriname. Selfmade the show is a series of intimate online interviews with self-made women of color about their unconventional entrepreneurial journey. Host Hanan Challouki interviews women who are the next generation of changemakers, making strides to redefine how things should be done. This series focuses on women of color from various industries and gets to the heart of how they ‘made it’ and how they are shaping the future. This series is for all women who want to be lifted up and inspired.

“This is My Mokum” is a documentary series that follows young locals from Amsterdam, each experiencing the city in their own unique way. These youths do not know each other and are paired up. Every episode captures the first meeting between two of them. The young individuals take center stage in their own vlogs, inviting you to join them on their journey, searching for their identity and space: to explore who they want to become, to whom and what they feel connected, and where they can truly be themselves.”
